Lara Gordon Caralis
After early careers in marketing and education, Lara came to real estate in 2009 and has risen to become a leading agent in the Cambridge and Somerville markets. During her tenure at Coldwell Banker, she achieved the brokerage’s International President’s Elite status, placing her within the top 3% of all agents worldwide. She is now thrilled to be part of Gibson Sotheby’s – a boutique local brokerage with access to Sotheby’s global network of over 800 offices in more than 60 countries and territories.
Lara’s business is concentrated in Cambridge, Somerville, and the adjacent communities. This focus enables her to provide clients with in-depth knowledge of the local housing inventory, property values and market trends. It has also allowed her to build strong relationships with the local agent community, which she leverages to market her listings, strategically position her buyer clients in competitive offer situations, and shepherd her transactions through to a successful closing.
Lara approaches her business the same way she approaches life – with an open mind, integrity, diligence and always optimism. Clients credit her market knowledge, communication skills and organization with helping them achieve their goals, and her attentiveness and good humor with helping them enjoy the process of buying and selling their homes
An explorer at heart, Lara has traveled extensively and lived in a variety of places in the US and abroad. She champions urban living, loves all things art and design, and has never met a dog she didn’t want to take home with her. Currently the owner of half of the smallest architectural conservation district in the city of Boston, Lara is quickly learning the joys and responsibilities of historic home stewardship.
Following an early graduation from Boston University, Holden passed up traditional work opportunities to enter the music industry, performing and touring throughout the US and Europe for several years. After wandering past countless buildings around the world and wondering, “what’s in there?” in 2013, he returned to Boston, switched gears and dove headfirst into real estate.
Holden began his real estate career in the hyper-fast-paced Allston/Brighton leasing and investment market, leveraging the skills he’d honed in the music business — a quick intuition, communication, marketing, organization, strategy, and technology. His clients appreciated his no-nonsense honesty, comfortable demeanor, general expediency and values-driven approach to real estate, which led to rapid success. Within a year at Preview Properties, he had become the highest-performing agent at the company.
Working in real estate has increased Holden’s investment in the local community, and he frequently volunteers for Habitat for Humanity. In his free time, he continues to compose and record music, travel as much as he can, and indulge his passion for scuba and sailing.
