Because real estate is so hyper-local and I focus deeply on the Cambridge/Somerville area rather than broadly, I was shocked to learn that we are not alone in our serious inventory shortages (we’re down approximately 50% today from this time last year). According to Inman News, a national real estate source, all but TWO of 146 metro areas tracked by Realtor.com have the same problem:
